Basil R. “Mick” Myers (1922–1982)

AN UNTIMELY death has taken a close friend and colleague, a man who was long a prominent member of the circuits and systems community and a dedicated educator. Basil Roland “Mick” Myers died on April 6, 1982 of cancer. He was operated on for lung cancer last October; after a short period of optimism, it was found that the cancer had spread. He entered the hospital on March 22 and remained there until the end.
