Abstract
Addresses the problem of robust diagonal stabilization for discrete-time systems. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are derived for the search of a diagonal solution to the associated Lyapunov equation. This approach can be applied to guarantee stability of quantized systems and to find numerous illustrative applications, e.g., for the design of robust digital filters
