Abstract :
A novel bilateral filter based method for vessel enhancement on medical images is presented. The proposed approach incorporates the multiscale vesselness measurement into the bilateral filter and thus can correctly remove noise while preserving distal vessel structures. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
