Abstract :
The importance of ocean information has gotten people´s attention. Meanwhile, more and more high-tech sensors have been deployed to monitor our marine environment. They provide us many significant opportunities to analysis the change of our environment as to make countermeasures in time. However it would be trivial, complex, and time consuming to process the data packets sent by heterogeneous sensors and adapt new sensors in some specified circumstances. Scientific workflows can simplify analysis and processing steps to assist domain scientists not to focus on the non-core steps and improve efficiency. We used the Kepler, a scientific workflow management system, to develop a workflow to facilitate and standardize marine monitoring sensor parsing and dynamic adaption. With our workflow, marine scientists can easily use data of any marine monitoring sensors to conduct their research.
