Abstract :
This paper studies a system of video surveillance based on ARM, which detects mobile objects dynamically, whose purpose is to protect the safety of special places. It uses the S3C2416 processor as the core of the whole system to design circuit and software; and it uses open source program to detect whether there is an object is moving dynamically or not; it will alarm and automatically capture images of objects once it detects that some objects are moving; it chooses JSS algorithm to compress and encode those images data; it transmits data in TCP with OpenSSL to guarantee the data safety, whose server would show those images in Qt interface after it received and decoded data. The function of the whole system has be implemented, including the design of the hardware circuit of bottom board, alarming when detecting some moving objects, image acquisition and compressing, and data transmission and reception by the network.
