Abstract
Dynamic transfer networks (DTNs) are a new class of sampled-data networks. The most elementary network consists of two switches, two capacitors, and a sampling source to operate the switches. The networks can be used in virtually any configuration, utilizing the design, analysis, and synthesis techniques of prior art. The characteristic frequencies of the DTNs, while related to the sampling rate, are also determined by the ratio of capacitance values, as distinguished from absolute capacitor values. This is particularly important at low frequencies. Constant capacitance tracking ratio for environmental conditions also has practical significance. Some filter applications of dynamic transfer networks are illustrated and analyzed. These include a first-order low-pass network and a second-order low-pass network with feedback.
