Abstract :
A new method of real-time channel evaluation (RTCE) via zero-crossing analysis is described and the theoretical basis is presented. An ARQ scheme incorporating the RTCE method over the high frequency (HF) 2-30 MHz radio channel is simulated and shown to out-perform more conventional systems
