    Designers of contemporary telecommunications equipment face a daunting task, bringing quickly to market in an intensely competitive environment products that rely on ever more complex software. The author discusses a relatively new approach to creating software tests which is based on a graphical specification of the system´s behaviour combined with an automatic test script generator.
