Engineering Council: Announcements by National service committee

Engineering Council through its National Service Committee, is advocating the rapid completion of a topographic map of the United States, and in furtherance of this object has addressed a letter to the Secretary of the Interior urging an increase in the next Federal appropriation for the Geological Survey. The following is an abstract of the communication to Secretary Lane: It has become apparent to engineers and others engaged in development work that the Geological Survey should be granted a more liberal appropriation for topographic mapping.
