Abstract :
To the Editor, A. I. E. E. Proceedings: The wording of a statement in the February PROCEEDINGS page 130, Sec. II, and that of another statement in the April PROCEEDINGS, page 137, Sec. I, has caused some misunderstanding relative to the Smith-Howard bill proposing the establishing of Engineering Experiment Stations in each State and Territory to perform work in Engineering and Industrial Research for the benefit of American industry and commerce, corresponding to the work of the Agricultural Experiment Stations in the interest of American agriculture.
