Abstract
FROM time to time, more or less practical and comprehensive schemes are suggested for the development of regional power plants for the distribution of cheap electrical power throughout industrial districts. It is an attractive subject and one that has been given considerable thought by power engineers and economists in general. The latest of these suggestions is that presented by Mr. W. S. Murray in an address before the Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, proposing a regional power development scheme to include the North Atlantic States, a reprint of which appeared in the January issue of this Journal. Mr. Murray´s address is in a measure the raison d´etre of the present article.
