Abstract :
Some months ago the governing body of the Western Society of Engineers, of Chicago, extended an invitation to the governing bodies of the National Societies of Civil, Mining, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers to hold a joint meeting in Chicago during the month of April, for the general purpose of discussing the interests of the engineering profession.
