Abstract :
Recently the Nd-Fe-B market has been growing rapidly. This driving force is not coming just from the existing markets of hard disk drives and magnetic resonance imagers. New applications are emerging in the areas of automobiles, industrial motors and appliance motors. Improvement of production engineering has made possible the volume production of 50 MGOe material. In the author´s laboratories an unheard of 55.8 MGOe magnet has been achieved. In this paper, the author discusses the current market situation of Nd-Fe-B magnets.
