Abstract :
Materials and manufacturing aspects are considered concerning high current HTc-superconductors such as BiPbSrCaCuO-based composites and bulk YBCO ceramics as well. Complex influences of chemical and phase compositions as well as different manufacturing parameters are shown on the current carrying capability of such conductors. Some questions connected with doping problems in HTc-materials are discussed and uranium-doping among them. New HTSC materials in form of composite sheet-like superconductors are presented. Some examples of application for HTSC materials such as long length BiPbSrCaCuO tapes and sheets, large grain bulk YBCO are presented namely current leads, current limiters and HTc-rotors of cryogenic motors as well.
