Abstract :
We propose a new architecture for optical chaos communication combining previously studied all-optical and electrooptical schemes. We investigate a cascaded system in terms of complexity and encryption efficiency in a transmitter-receiver setup. It is shown that the feedback delay time of the transmitter can be successfully hidden and that synchronization is very sensitive to delay mismatches, thus preventing the eavesdropper from reproducing the system.
