Abstract
In this paper a new digital beamforming synthetic aperture radar system with waveform diversity is introduced. In particular, detailed analysis on the advantage of this new system is conducted by providing new sights into the DPCA effect on it. System transfer function is derived based on a conventional exact transfer function (ETF) imaging algorithm. Analysis shows that the new system is able to reduce the azimuth ambiguity with increased imaging swath. Simulation studies are provided to illustrate the analysis.
