Abstract :
Current leads in the superconducting magnets on maglev vehicles mechanically vibrate by the electromagnetic disturbance from the ground coils when they run. We made two type pi current leads, straight and circular are types. They have almost the same dimensions and properties in the configuration of multi-stack Ag-sheathed Bi2223 tape wires which are virtually free from joule heat and conductive heat. We have evaluated the current transmitting capacity and endurance performance of these leads. Under mechanical vibration, we finally confirmed that them were no problems with regard to the current transmitting performance in mechanical vibration tests. This paper reports the results of the study.
