Abstract :
A method for designing multilevel sequence, based on chirp and frequency hopping (FH) waveforms is presented. The main feature of the synthesised transmitter-receiver pair of sequences is the very low sidelobe level. The receiver sequences are considered as mismatched compression filter coefficients. The DIRLS (Doppler optimised iterative reweighted least square) algorithm is applied to the iterative optimisation of the receiver mismatched coefficients, as well as to the multilevel transmitter sequence
