Abstract :
An 11 GHz beacon from the INTELSAT VI satellite was measured in Singapore. Statistics for the rain attenuation and simultaneous rain intensity during an 18 month measurement period are presented and compared to CCIR/ITU-R prediction models. The relationship between the measured probability that a specific attenuation is exceeded for the worst month and that for the average year is also presented
