Abstract :
Rigorous theoretical study of a parallel-plate waveguide fully filled with longitudinally magnetised ferrite has been made possible by the transverse operator formulation. The analysis is extended to a partially filled quasi-TEM structure showing improved performance in differential phase shift. A calculation model for the reduced-height rectangular waveguide phase shifter is obtained by making use of the present analysis. The measured characteristics are compared with predictions.
