Abstract :
This paper is a consolidation of the basic, “official,” working material on fair use of copyrighted works. It includes section 107 of the Copyright Law of 1976; “Guidelines for Classroom Copying in Not-for-Profit Educational Institutions” and portions of the analysis and discussion of fair use by the House and Senate Committees on the Judiciary, Reports 94–1476 and 94–473, respectively, and by the House-Senate Conference Committee, Report 94–1733.
