Abstract :
The asymmetric half-wavelength resonator filter with shunt open stubs is analysed. Compared with the filter without shunt open stubs, two applications of shunt open stubs are obtained. First, it can be used for miniaturisation of the filter; secondly, the second passband can be obtained by it. To verify the analysis above, filters with and without shunt open stubs have been fabricated. The centre frequency of the passband was shifted to 1.90 GHz from 2.45 GHz and the second passband was realised. Simulated and measured results agree well.
