Abstract :
Newly developed design-optimised hybrid transmission lines are presented which consist of pure silica core fibre and dispersion compensating fibre, and exhibit a span loss of 0.205 dB/km, a span dispersion slope of 0.020 ps/nm2/km and low nonlinearity with an equivalent effective area of 60 μm2
