Abstract :
A new technique is introduced for the automatic extraction and location of active sweat pores in a fingertip image. The combined technique includes highpass filtering followed by correlation. Results are presented for a fingertip image obtained using a high-resolution micro-capture camera. This automated method of detecting active sweat pores will help to implement liveness detection in existing fingerprint sensors.
