Abstract :
With a home information system that has been developed in Europe, television viewers need not wait for the 6 o´clock news to get the weather forecast, the latest sports scores or stock market prices. The system, controlled by TV networks, uses the VHF and UHF bands to transmit data to the home television receiver. Called teletext, the service allows subscribers to view the data at any time.
