Abstract :
According to the problem that tool wear fault diagnosis of CNC machine, the method was put forward that vibration signal was processed by empirical mode decomposition (EMD). In the paper, tow methods were used to deal with collected data to obtain characteristic values, then the two groups of characteristic values were respectively input into the support vector machine (SVM) for pattern recognition to verify the validity of the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method.
