Instrumentation: Digital storage oscilloscopes: Digital scopes may evolve like the digital multimeter, offering data-capture, transfer, and processing in addition to present capabilities
Abstract :
The storage oscilloscope has entered a new phase of development that opens the door to new applications for this electronic instrument. No longer does it have just storage and display features. The newer digital storage models also provide data acquisition and processing capabilities. This means that oscilloscopes can be used in automatic test setups. Even in stand-alone applications, the processing digital oscilloscope eliminates the need for highly skilled personnel to interpret the waveform measurements.
