Abstract :
The symmetric step junction of two shielded micro-strip transmission lines is analysed with the combined use of the spectral domain-Galerkin method applied to each microstrip, and the least-squares boundary residual method to match electric and magnetic fields at the discontinuity. Preliminary results are shown for a simple structure. This method can be extended to finline and in general to multidielectric and multiconductor transmission lines
