  • Abstract
    Generalised Fourier descriptors (GFDs) are defined for use with differential chain codes (DCC) to characterise line drawings. This technique be useful for the recognition of handwritten patterns. Expressions are derived for evaluating the GFDs for open as well as closed curves.
