Abstract :
A non-iterative, frequency response based method is described for the design of phase lead compensators for feedback control loops. It is particularly suited to loops having variable gain, variable phase frequency response characteristics in the frequency range of interest and has been found to yield near-optimal values for the compensator parameters in such cases. The method is illustrated by means of an example.
