Abstract
The practical application of Live Line Work was started in the ´60s and since that time, this technology has become a general practice in the maintenance of the Hungarian transmission network. The technical advantages of the technology - e.g. consumers not suffering from loss of supply - are not questionable nowadays, however improvement and development of the live line maintenance technologies are not only technical issue, since economic analysis of live works can help to reveal its weak points.
