Title :
Comparison of insulating properties for tools, devices and equipment made of insulating material for live working and electrical work
Abstract :
Within TC78 world, a wide range of IEC standards cover all aspect of live working and electrical works, for tools, devices and equipment, and are referring to classes ranging from 00 to 4 in direct relaA´onship with levels of voltage and type of voltage (Alternating / Direct Currents). These standards are actually covering a large variety of elements and products, different in shape, material and use. We will focus on demonstrating that maintaining homogeneity of the relationship between the ranges of voltage levels and defined classes (for both Alternating and Direct Currents) is key for the safety of the workers thanks to the logic and simplicity it introduces in the selection of tools and accessories for a specified electrical work.
