Abstract :
A two-antenna system employing wideband metamaterial-inspired meander-line antennas with a maximum separation of λ0/5 is presented, and a very wide measured -10 dB return-loss bandwidth from 3.3 to 6 GHz is obtained. Orthogonal characteristic modes on the ground plane are excited, and the coupling between the two antennas is kept below -20 dB over the same frequency band.
