Abstract :
The popularity, ease of availability, and emergence of personal computers as powerful computational tools prompts the development of teaching software suitable for these processors. This paper presents a finite element and a finite deference code for mapping the electrostatic potentials associated with any two-dimensional configuration. The codes were written in Basic with a graphics capability suitable for the IBM personal computer. They are fully interactive and all outputs are in graphical form.
