Abstract :
The experimental realization of a laser which provides direct coupling of the inside cavity field with optical filter is discussed, and its general features are considered. A laser dye was used as an active medium. The authors call such laser a cavity waveguide output dye laser, (CWODL). The CWODL provides a method for inserting the laser emission (tunable) into optical fiber. The authors investigated experimentally the CWODL field distribution, tuning range, and output energy. The respective parameters of some classic devices are obtained in parallel and compared. Some analytical results, related to the CWODL features, are also discussed
