  • Abstract
    A closed form, analytical expression for the symbol error probability of the V.29 signal constellation is derived and numerically evaluated. The Gray code penalty for the case of differentially encoded transmission is evaluated, and the resulting probability of a bit error is obtained as a function of the average bit-energy-to-noise density ratio.
