Abstract
The reliability and mean-life equations for three types of redundant systems are derived and discussed. The components used in each system are assumed to be identical with a hazard rate equal to ¿t (a wearout characteristic), and repair is not considered. Curves comparing the system mean life and reliability for the three types of systems are presented.
