In the March “Leader´s COR-ner” column, I had the opportunity to expand on my candidate statements and other goals for my time as your president-elect. As I mentioned then, I welcome the opportunity to lead our long-range planning efforts and look at the types of activities that our Society should be focusing on for future challenges. In 2006, Wanda Reder, then-president-elect of IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), led an effort to develop a five-year strategic plan for 2006–2011.
