Abstract :
A genetic algorithm procedure is proposed for array failure correction. This approach enables the minimum number of array elements to be found for which the excitation must be adjusted in order to recover the original pattern. The method has been applied to restore the pattern of an array with three failures by perturbing the amplitude of less than a third of the unfailed array elements
