Abstract :
When analysing type-II pulse-frequency modulated (PFM) control systems, particularly when attempting to optimize these systems, the `resetting term´ in the equation describing the modulator makes the analysis very awkward. An equivalent set of equations is given which show that this modulator can be mathematically described without the resetting term. A novel practical scheme for accomplishing this is presented.
