Abstract :
The need for availability information has grown tremendously during the last decade. This has led to the development of various data collection and analysis systems by different organizations in North America. The Equipment Reliability Information System (ERIS) of the Canadian Electrical Association (CEA) was developed to satisfy the needs of Canadian utilities for a uniform of recording the performance of generation and transmission equipment and for the centralized processing of these data. The authors unit models for capacity reliability studies which are compatible with the data provided in the present CEA data collection system.
