Abstract :
This paper presents a review on low-pressure discharge lamp modelling. It gives a brief summary on commercially available low-pressure lamps, focusing on their main characteristics and presents highly referenced lamp models currently used by the researchers working on this field. Most of the appointed models can predict the lamps terminal characteristics accurately, under specific conditions, and are extremely useful in electronic ballast design.
