Abstract
A new approach to two-dimensional modeling of microstrip circuits of arbitrary shape is proposed. A model was developed to be used for finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) analysis. A characteristic feature of the model is its inhomogeneity, i.e., the dependence of the parameters at a particular point in the two-dimensional space on the distance of that point from the strip´s edge. Examples of FDTD analysis based on the model are shown
