Generation of Sidel´nikov sequences and their spectra via permutations

Using a reduced number of distinct permutations, an efficient method to generate Sidel´nikov M-ary sequences and their spectra from an initial seed sequence is presented. The unfolded structure allows an all-digital and low complexity implementation of a maximum likelihood sequence detector.
