Abstract :
The essential aim of the conference on the use of the young professional engineer, held in London on the 9th October 1970 and organised by the Council of Engineering Institutions London Graduates & Students Joint Committee, was for `young engineers¿ to give a clear view on how they consider that their profession must change if they are to make a full contribution to society and to Britain´s economy, and also if they are to have a satisfying career. The report of the conference will be sent to the CEI, to the constituent Institutions and to other national policy-making bodies.
