Abstract :
This book is written as a text for a senior or a first year graduate course in filter theory and design. In view of the organization and scope it may also serve as a useful reference to a practising design engineer. In comparison with previous books of similar objectives there are a few major differences: unless they are essential to filter design, conventional synthesis topics are deleted; treatment of the approximation phase and the realization phase is well balanced; practicality of the design is duly emphasized and all active networks that do not employ operational amplifiers are eliminated; and simulation of LC ladders is covered in depth.
