Abstract
A type of near-perfect magnetic cloak with radical and tangential diagonal components of the permittivity and permeability tensors as constants is proposed. Only z-component of the constitutive tensor is spatial variant, and all the diagonal components of the permittivity and permeability tensors are nonsingular, which make it possible to construct this kind of cloak with 2-D metamaterials. The effects of loss and perturbations of parameters on the performance of the cloak are also investigated. This study provides a feasible way for 2-D cloak design.
