Abstract :
Optical millimetre-wave generation at 60 GHz using dual-mode semiconductor modelocked lasers is demonstrated. Dual-mode operation is achieved by mode selectivity of the chirped gratings. Suppression of signal distortion due to fibre dispersion is confirmed for generated millimetre waves
