Abstract :
The National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation (NIAD-UE) is engaged in awarding of academic degrees based on the accumulation of applicant´s earned academic credits. These credits must be classified according to the contents of syllabuses and pre-determined criteria for the chosen disciplinary field. This course classification is carried out by the sub-committees whose members are well-versed in the syllabus of each course. Active Course Classification Support system (ACCS) was developed to support the course classification process of the sub-committee members. In this paper, we extend practical use of ACCS. In order to achieve it, it is necessary to verify the practicability in various disciplinary fields. The ACCS requires myDBc that is a keyword database to support the course classification. However, it is practically difficult to construct keyword databases to all disciplinary fields in advance. We therefore aim to confirm the effectiveness at the following steps. At the first step, the ACCS uses the course name list provided by NIAD-UE for each disciplinary field. After receiving sub-committee judgment for course classification in each year, myDBc is updated for next year´s course classification. We show a numerical example to confirm the effectiveness of the steps in the field of Laboratory Technology.
