Abstract :
A microstrip line based model for analyzing source bus line current inside an active matrix type thin film transistor/liquid crystal display is proposed. The proposed model reveals a linear decrease of intensity of source bus line current and a non linear increase of its rise time as the current propagates away from the source driver. Validity of the model is proved up to the first half of the total panel length by comparing experimental and calculated induced voltage across a planar shielded loop type magnetic coil generated by the source bus line current.
